The Situation

13 million NEW jobs will be required globally by 2030 to power the green energy transition. Most will be in modernizing energy infrastructure. 400,000 will be required in Germany by 2040 in part due to new legislation (about 200,000 more than today).

The Problem:

Labour shortages: In Germany alone, 400,000 immigrants are required every year to offset retiring workers.

Existing systems: Bureaucratic hurdles, poor digitisation and no dedicated system to train and connect foreign workers to German firms.

Blindspot: Uncertainty regarding residency and qualifications as well as German language expectations limits many companies ability to attract willing workers at home and abroad.

No Trust: Those who get trained are left to find the work themselves.

Our solution:

Create a trustworthy training and recruitment process that finds, upskills and connects non-nationals with green energy companies needing technicians and aides in Germany, then support that integration with services. This includes:

-> International recruitment services for the wind energy sector

-> German professional fluency training for international green technicians

-> Visa support services

-> Relocation services

-> Remote training services

-> Professional recognition support for regulated and unregulated trades

-> Audiovisual services to support partner recruitment drives

After launching in January 2023, greentech.training quickly added 600 qualified and experience technicians, engineers, energy planners, sustainability managers and many more skilled professionals required by the members of our cluster partners. It is currently expanding its training portfolio to focus on retention tools and strategies, as well as offshore wind project planning conducted by experienced professionals and consultants.
